Cycle Effect Mentor Ride in Breckenridge and Vail

We had a blast last month as the Axis Sports Medicine joined The Cycle Effect to support a bike ride for their teams in Vail and Breckenridge. A pleasant summer evening with an epic ride that started with some great stretches that lead by our Axis team! Each location had two groups, one starting at 4pm and the other at 6pm.

Axis and Cycle Effect joined to coach the participants on stretching and core strengthening exercises. As any of our physical therapists could tell you, stretching is an essential part of exercise. Healthy riding is fun riding, and it all starts with how riders prepare and recover. This was the message of the day from the Axis team to the girls.

Each group of riders was joined by an Axis staff member for the ride. It was a great way to share in the experience and grow our beautiful community of riders. Beyond leading the stretching and recovery workshop with the teams, the Axis staff provided worksheets about preventative measures for health riding.

Axis is committed to promoting a health a responsible community of outdoor recreators. The goals of physical wellbeing and community outreach are shared between Axis and Cycle Effect. It seemed like a no-brainer to team up with them and host a workshop about healthy mountain biking for these girls.

The Axis staff joined the girls on a rip-roaring-ride on fun and adventurous single track. The event was a great community-oriented way to promote the comprehensive riding skills Cycle Effect strives to teach.

The Cycle effect girls demonstrated teamwork, encouragement, and hard work. It was awesome to see such a positive group of people all in one place, of one mind, with one goal: To become better riders. The girls and coaches support one another through thick and thin. And its admirable to say the very least. Keep riding!
