Ami grew up in Denver, CO but her parents have owned a home in Dillon, CO since 1964. She has been coming up and living in Summit County her whole life, permanently living here since 2000. She has 3 brothers all who live in the Denver area with 7 nephews/nieces. Her dad is the deacon of the Catholic Church in Summit County.

She was a basketball player in high school, but her height and poor skills prevented her from playing the game she loved to play at the college level – but she tried. She sent out 20+ VHS tapes of her skills to the college coaches around the country – no one reached out to her 😊. She also ran cross country in high school and continues to enjoy running, participating in intermittent half marathons.
She began playing ice hockey in 2003, thanks to the nudging from Jen Gotantas. She learned to skate on the Keystone Pond, playing nightly pick up hockey games after work till the lights were shut off at 10pm. She has continued with this love of hockey and plays on a traveling Breckenridge Blizzard women’s hockey team as well as the Breck Betties local hockey league. She enjoys hiking, backpacking, running, mountain biking, skiing, and hockey.
She has received the name of Alpha Dog in the Silverthorne clinic – she likes things put away her way. Everything has a place, and you quickly learn that place or else….
Some fun (stupid) facts about Ami…. she enjoys a good DIY house project every so often, tries to fix anything and everything she can on her own first and then recruits the professionals, she can juggle, she has the tightest hamstrings in the area – (no, she cannot touch her toes!) and the biggest head circumference, she has a trail name of “bloody shins”, she worked at McDonald’s in high school and had a nickname of McDoyle, she doesn’t watch too much TV but if the Avs are on, she’s watching! And she loves herself a good Margarita (Neuvo Vallarta – ‘The Original’ is the best in Summit) as well as yummy IPA.
