Meet Your PT: ROBYN RITSCH

Robyn grew up in a suburb of Denver and started skiing in Vail at the age of 3. She skied and was an equestrian throughout her childhood.  After meeting her husband, (the love of her life), at Colorado State University and finishing graduate school for physical therapy they moved to the Vail Valley in 1998.  He got her into mountain biking and at first, she was awful.  She could hardly ride 30 minutes up June Creek Rd. But after persistence, she improved, and her husband and she began to race in the local Vail series on the Pedal Power team.

In 2001 and 2003 she had 2 girls who have been the highlight of her last 20+ years!  They both became equestrians and now ride in college as well as study a lot.  Madison is in graduate school at the University of Colorado studying Aerospace Engineering and Mollie is at the School of Mines studying Environmental Engineering.

Back to biking, she raced throughout her 30s until she had a bad bike crash in a Beaver Creek Race which ended her racing “career”. 10+ years later she had a lumbar fusion and now is feeling better than ever thanks to Meredith (Axis PT!!!) and Dr. Braxton!

She has loved her PT career over the past 20 years. It has been fulfilling starting Axis Sports Medicine over 10 years ago.  She enjoys working with the locals in Eagle County and many clients have become lifelong friends.  She continues to enjoy mountain biking, riding their horses, hiking with her dogs, and occasionally competing in a local Triathlon.

We love having Robyn as part of our Axis family!
