Emily is a Wisconsin native who grew up in Wausau. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Go Badgers- and studied Kinesiology. She attended PT school at the College of St Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota.
Her interest in physical therapy began in 6th grade, and then she became further interested when she tore her first ACL in 8th grade while alpine ski racing. Three years later, in high school, she tore her other ACL ski racing. Through all of this, her interest in physical therapy only grew. As did her interest in ski racing. She continued ski racing throughout college at the University of Wisconsin.
Between undergrad and graduate school, Emily moved to Breckenridge to be a “ski bum” and instructed skiing at Breckenridge ski school for 3 winters. In her 3rd winter, she met Jen skiing in Taos, New Mexico, and Jen told her to return to be her student. That’s just what Emily did. Her final clinical rotation was in the Frisco clinic with Jen and Christy. The rest is history.
When not working, Emily enjoys skiing, mountain and road biking, SUPing on Lake Dillon, and water skiing. Every summer, she must spend some time at the lake in Wisconsin with her family to get her fix on slalom skiing and wake surfing. Emily and her boyfriend (of 7 years), Brent, enjoy living in the mountains together.
