Red Gerard is a professional snowboarder from Ohio who was the youngest winter Olympian to win a gold medal since 1928 at the 2018 Winter Olympics.
Red has been snowboarding since the age of 2. The family realized that snowboard was in Red’s future and in 2007 they moved to Silverthorne Colorado. Red began to move up in the snowboard world and was able to be in the pro circuit by 2016. Gerard competed in the slopestyle and big air events for the United States at the 2018 Winter Olympics. In slopestyle, Gerard won the gold medal for his performance. Red has also won a bronze medal in Aspen at the 2020 X Games for Slopestyle. He also won a gold metal in Copper Mountain at the 2020 Dew Tour for Slopestyle.
We love having a local kid on the big stage! We cannot wait to watch Red continue to grow and shine in the snowboard world. We are excited to work with him and have him as an #AxisAmbassador.
