Ami earned her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from St. Louis University in 2000. She has over 15 years of experience in General Outpatient Orthopedics and is a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. Ami has enjoyed working with a variety of orthopedic injuries and patient populations throughout her career. She received advanced training in Manual Therapy from the North American Institute of Manual Therapy (NAIOMT) as well as Advanced Vestibular Rehabilitation training, with a focus on balance and fall prevention. Ami was born and raised in Denver, but has been a frequent resident of Summit County for most of her life. Ami enjoys outdoor sports, such as hiking, biking, skiing, and fly fishing; but her passion lies on the ice, playing hockey.
Ali came to Colorado from Richmond, Virginia. She earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado in 2008. After graduating, she went on to complete a sports medicine residency in Vail, Colorado. Ali has over 10 years of experience in outpatient sports medicine and is a board certified Sports Clinical Specialist. Loving the active lifestyle Summit County provides, she spends her spare time biking, rafting, skiing and hiking with her pooch and husband.
Terri received her degree from Queen’s University in Kingston Ontario Canada in 1987. She has worked in the industry for over 30 years, including major ski resorts in both Canada and the United States. Her post graduate education has focused on Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. She is a Certified Orthopedic Manipulative Therapist (COMT) and has received her Level 2 Certification in Trigger Point Dry Needling. She is trained in Pilates Reformer with Stott Pilates and is a Certified Concussion Management Specialist with Complete Concussion Management Institute (CCMI).
Her experience has enabled her to work with patients from all walks of life, ranging from weekend warriors to elite athletes. She moved to Summit County in 1999 and enjoys the beauty of the Colorado mountains. In the winter, you can find Terri touring the backcountry or downhill skiing and in summer, she is usually on two wheels: mountain or road biking.
Thuli is originally from South Africa where she got her degree in Hospitality Management and started working for The Marriott hotels. That allowed her to be able to travel and work in different parts of the world which is how she ended up in Summit County. She initially came to Summit for 1 season, just to experience living in a snowy mountain. That was in 2016, but she fell in-love with this beautiful small town, fell in-love with a community that loves giving back to others. She is excited to have joined the Axis team and looking forward to growing and giving service to the amazing people of this community.
Bailey earned her Bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University in 2010 and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Idaho State University in 2017. She is currently working towards her Board Certification as a Women’s Health Clinical Specialist (WCS).
Prior to moving to Summit County, she specialized in health, wellness, injury prevention and return to work following injury for law enforcement officers. She was adjunct faculty for Idaho State University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program where she developed programming for law enforcement cadets. She also worked in an outpatient clinic in the rural setting of Blackfoot, ID where she was able to see patients with a large variety of different diagnoses. Bailey’s personal experience as a mom of two children led her into the field of pelvic floor physical therapy.
She moved to Summit County for the second time in 2020. She spends 100% of her spare time chasing around her husband and two sons and doing whatever outdoor activity they are into at that moment.
Amy came to Summit County in 2012 from Iowa. She loves living in a small community that is passionate about living a healthy lifestyle and giving back to others. After 10 years as a science teacher, Amy was interested in pursuing a physical therapy career. She joined Axis in 2016 after being a patient and receiving excellent care. That experience inspired her to, in turn, provide excellent service and support to both the Axis team and the community. In her free time, Amy can be found backcountry skiing, mountain biking and swimming in any fresh water she can find.
Mallory is originally from Wausau, Wisconsin, and attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for undergraduate and graduate school, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in 2018 and her Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2020. She completed a clinical internship with Axis Sports Medicine in the Winter of 2020 and is excited to return to Summit County to continue her PT career. Mallory has a Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery certification and loves working with her Parkinson’s clients. She is known for her creativity in challenging other balance patients as well. Mallory is also certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling. When not working, she enjoys skiing, biking, playing tennis, being outdoors, and traveling back to Wisconsin to visit her nieces and nephews.
Lori received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Dakota in 1977, her Doctoral degree from the University of Colorado in 2012, and her Board Certification as a Women’s Health Clinical Specialist (WCS) in 2013.
Lori has specialized in Pelvic fFoor Dysfunction in women and men since 1995, a subject she is passionate about. She also specializes in the treatment of temporomandibular disorders (TMD), headaches, and spinal dysfunction.
She was raised in South and North Dakota, and worked in Washington DC prior to living in Colorado. She has lectured on Pelvic Pain, TMJ and Headache Dysfunction, and Proper Body Mechanics for Dental Professionals. She is the past president of the Colorado American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) Private Practice Section, and is a current member of the National and Colorado APTA as well as the Academy of Pelvic Health.
Lori and her husband raised 2 adult children, are grandparents of 2 toddlers, and recently moved to Silverthorne, CO, following the sale of her private practice in Littleton. Lori enjoys any activity that includes mountain air, swimming, travel, and photography.
Duncan is Summit County born and raised. He attended Colorado Mesa University to obtain a BS in Exercise Physiology before furthering his education at Western Colorado University culminating in a Master's Degree in High Altitude Exercise Physiology. He enjoys combining his professional interests with his hobbies of cross-country skiing, cycling, trail running, and reading. He also enjoys giving back to the community he grew up in through work at Axis and as a coach for youth Nordic skiing.
Kelly grew up in Summit County and has always loved playing in the mountains. She received her BA in Environmental Studies from CU- Boulder in 2006, and spent her twenties working as a snowboard instructor and outdoor educator in Jackson, WY. Her passion for movement, teaching, and working with people led her to return to Colorado to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado in 2016. Kelly has further training in Functional Dry Needling, IASTM, cupping, and manual therapy techniques to better help patients feel better and get back to the activities they love. In her free time Kelly enjoys exploring the woods with her young daughter, backcountry snowboarding, mountain biking, and hiking with her family.
