Axis Scholarship 2020 Recipients

Congrats to our 2020 Axis Scholarship recipients!

We are honored to support our community through the Axis Scholarship program. We award scholarships to local graduating seniors with a GPA of at least 3.0, who have had personal experience with Axis as a patient, volunteer, or job shadowing. We look specifically for those who have overcome adversity, and look to take that experience forward in their education.

This year, we awarded THREE scholarships to students in both Eagle and Summit Counties. These were our award recipients:

Tim Gallagher

Tim Gallagher
Tim is an accomplished Eagle Scout, and is graduating with an impressive 4.5 GPA from Summit High School. He is also a Captain of his Varsity Lacrosse Team, where he wears #9 and plays defense. Tim is still deciding which school to attend, but plans on studying Engineering.

Gretchen Lentz

Gretchen was home schooled in Eagle county, so that she could pursue her passion for competitive figure skating, which she also teaches. She is impressively graduating high school with an additional Associate’s degree from Colorado Mountain College. Gretchen plans to pursue a career in physical therapy with a degree in Sports and Exercise Science from the University of Northern Colorado.

Cleo Braun

Cleo is graduating from the Vail Ski & Snowboard Academy and plans to take a year off to pursue her ski racing career, before attending college in 2021. She competes primarily in slalom and grand slalom events in the NorAM cup. Cleo also works to better her community, organizing a 5k Trail Run as a fundraiser for the Bindu Sky Pomeroy Memorial Fund.

We are thrilled to support these young leaders in their future endeavors, and can’t wait to follow their stories.

Congrats to all the Graduates of 2020!
