Growing up in a small town in North Dakota, Kristin began skiing at 5 y/o in Montana. Skiing at home consisted of getting pulled around her grandparent’s farmyard behind a small tractor, and you knew you’d made it to the next level when you got to ski behind the snowmobile.
Kristin was a free-range kid and enjoyed an active lifestyle from a very young age. Her primary mode of transportation was a Huffy bike that she rode all over town. Younger years were filled with t-ball, baseball, swimming, and neighborhood games with friends. She is vertically challenged and what she lacked in height she made up for with determination and played basketball (point guard), volleyball (setter), and track (distance running) through high school.
She began mountain biking in college with friends, but it wasn’t until she moved to Breckenridge in 2003 that she truly fell in love with bikes. Like most, she moved here for a ski season, but stayed for the summers. She can ski, but cycling is her passion. From a road bike/fat bike commute to work, to single speed cross country racing, to full suspension adventures, or just riding cruisers around town she is happiest when riding a bike. Exploring new areas, spending time with her husband and friends, and traveling are what she looks forward to most.
Fun facts: Kristin cannot juggle (unless it involves small business tasks), has freakishly long arms, favorite color is blue, thinks winters are too long here, is a bit stubborn, and favorite foods are pizza and ice cream.
