Axis Ambassador Highlights: Red Gerard and Queralt Castellet

At Axis Sports Medicine, we are passionate about supporting athletes at all levels, from beginners to elite competitors. We are especially proud to sponsor some of the top talents from our local mountain community as Axis Ambassadors. These athletes embody our core values of dedication, perseverance, and excellence.

Two of our ambassadors, snowboarders Red Gerard and Queralt Castellet, have recently achieved major accomplishments in their sport that we wanted to highlight. Let’s dive into their recent successes and what makes them such valuable members of the Axis family.

Red Gerard Wins X Games Gold

Local Colorado snowboarder Red Gerard continues to shine on the biggest stages. The 2018 Olympic slopestyle gold medalist recently added an X Games gold to his impressive resume.

Hailing from Silverthorne, Colorado, Red has been snowboarding since the age of 2 and competing at an elite level since his teens. Now 23 years old, he shows no signs of slowing down. His gold medal performance at the 2023 Winter X Games in Aspen demonstrates he remains at the absolute top of the sport in slopestyle riding.

We couldn’t be more proud of Red and all he has accomplished. As an Axis Ambassador, he is an inspiration to the young riders in our community dreaming of making it to the big stage themselves one day. We look forward to continuing to help Red stay healthy and compete at his best.

Queralt Castellet Returns to Copper Mountain

Queralt Castellet Axis Ambassador

Another of our Axis Ambassadors, Spanish snowboarder Queralt Castellet, is also back stateside and training at Copper Mountain ahead of the Dew Tour event.

One of the top women’s snowboarders in the world, Queralt competes in both the halfpipe and big air events. The 34-year-old brings a wealth of experience to her riding as a four-time Olympian for Spain.

With five World Cup wins, multiple X Games, and World Championships medals, Queralt is a force to be reckoned with whenever she drops into the pipe. We’re excited to watch her throw down at the upcoming Dew Tour and other events this season.

Queralt’s training regimen at Copper is intensive as she aims to progress her riding even further. As an Axis Ambassador, we’re honored to play a role in helping Queralt stay strong, recover right, and keep chasing progression.

We’re Dedicated to Supporting the Next Generation Athlete + Ambassador

Red and Queralt are incredible examples for the next generation of athletes in Colorado and beyond. Becoming an elite athlete in any sport takes immense dedication, hard work, and mental toughness.

We understand these athletes’ challenges and the support they need, not just in treating injuries but in proactively maintaining their health and performance. Through our Axis Ambassador program, we aim to provide critical support to help more athletes reach their biggest goals.

As Red, Queralt, and our other ambassadors continue to inspire, we’ll be there for them every step of the way. And we’ll be there for every active person in our community looking to return to the activities they love after injury. It’s an honor and a privilege we don’t take for granted.

So here’s to Red, Queralt, and all the passionate athletes out there chasing their dreams. Your Axis team is behind you all the way!
