Meet: Mallory Wanserski
Mallory grew up in Wausau, Wisconsin, and attended Marquette University for both undergraduate and graduate school. She earned her DPT in 2020 and thought she would start her career in a hospital setting, however her clinical rotation at Axis Sports Medicine with Jen and Christy changed her mind.
She returned to Summit County in 2021 to start her career as a physical therapist. Upon her return, Mallory started a Parkinson’s exercise group and loved working with her balance population in the clinic. Mallory is the youngest of 4, she has 2 brothers and 1 sister all of whom live back in the Midwest. She has 2 nieces and 2 nephews whom she loves dearly and can’t wait to teach them to ski when they are older.
Although Mallory doesn’t have kids of her own, she is busy with her 10-month-old puppy Murphy. Murphy is a German Short Hair Pointer with more energy than she can handle. Mallory loves to travel and is trying to plan a trip every year to somewhere new. Her favorite places she has traveled to are Japan and Thailand, and she would love to return mainly to eat food in those countries. Her love of Asian food stems from her grandma, who is Japanese and would always bring Mallory fun Japanese snacks and cook Japanese food when she was little.
When Mallory isn’t working, she skis and hikes during the winter months. During the summer, when she isn’t going to weddings, you can find her either mountain biking or fishing down the river with her boyfriend, Alex. However, Mallory’s favorite summer activity is going back to Wisconsin to spend some time with family on the lake waterskiing and wake surfing.
