Meet Your Physical Therapist: Eric Pearson, DPT

Eric grew up in Champlin, Minnesota, and attended The College of St. Scholastica for both undergraduate and graduate school in Duluth, Minnesota. He earned his DPT in 2024 after completing his last clinical rotation at Axis Sports Medicine, where he ended up returning after graduation to start his career.
Growing up, Eric was the middle of 3 kids, with an older sister and younger brother. He played baseball, football, and pond hockey, while also continuing to play baseball throughout his college career at St. Scholastica. He was very active as a child playing in the front yard with his brother and spending time with his family at the cabin in northern Minnesota. At the cabin his favorite memories were riding the trails on his dirt bike and fishing on the lake with his dad.
Once Eric entered PT school, He was done playing baseball but continued his active lifestyle with snowboarding, running, cycling, and teaching exercise classes. While in PT school, Eric taught a kettlebell fitness class that was comprised of various movements and exercises using only kettlebells to get a good sweat going. To combat the rigorous coursework of PT school, Eric cooled off by running and completed the Twin Cities Marathon in the fall of 2022. While continuing his love of running, he also started to cycle around the streets of Duluth and Minneapolis racking up more and more miles each week getting to take in the beautiful scenery.
It did not take long for Eric to return to Summit County as he moved back two days after graduating PT school. Once he returned in the spring, he continued to snowboard at the open resorts and kept looking for snow throughout the summer. He ended up riding each month of the year! Eric loves the outdoors, being active, and sharing his interests with the patients wanting to get back to their hobbies.
