Physical Therapy Treatment

Types of Physical Therapy Treatment

Axis Sports Medicine is committed to clinical excellence and offers a wide array of physical therapy treatments for our clients.

Sports & Orthopedic Rehabilitation

Orthopedic and sports rehabilitation isn’t just for pro athletes; it’s for anyone who wants to get back to an active lifestyle.

Total Joint Therapy

PT for all joint replacements performed, including the total hip, knee, shoulder, and ankle arthroplasties.

Trigger Point Dry Needling

Trigger Point Dry Needling is a technique performed by specially trained Physical Therapists using a very fine filament needle inserted into the areas of the muscle known as trigger points.

Vestibular Therapy

An estimated 35% of adults over the age of 40 have experienced some kind of vestibular dysfunction.

Aquatic Therapy

Aquatic Therapy is an excellent complement to Physical Therapy, allowing earlier weight bearing on an injury and added support during exercise.

Pilates

We frequently use Pilates-based principles, exercises, and equipment to help our patients recover from injuries and achieve their goals.

Pelvic Health

We have Physical Therapists at Axis Sports Medicine who specialize in treatment of the Pelvic Floor and have extensive education as well as board certification in this area.

Concussion Management

Early physical therapy following a sports-related concussion is shown to improve recovery time by 60%.

Running Assessment

At Axis, we can help and support your ability to run, long-term, through physical analysis, strengthening and retraining the body.

Neurological Rehabilitation

Many different types of patients can benefit from neurological rehabilitation and neuro physical therapy.

Lymphedema Therapy

Lymphedema, which is excessive swelling in the arms or legs, caused by the accumulation of lymph, is another area of specialty treatment at Axis Sports Medicine.

Functional Movement Screening

The Functional Movement Screen helps us look at overall movement vs movement at a single joint such as the shoulder or knee.

Schroth Therapy

We are excited to introduce our newest program for kids and adolescents with idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) and kyphosis. Meredith Mueller at Axis Sports Medicine in Avon is the only practitioner offering Schroth therapy in our mountain communities.
