Meet Axis Sports Medicine’s newest physical therapist, Erika Barger! Erika is originally from San Diego, CA and specializes in pediatric physical therapy. Erika graduated in May 2021 from Franklin Pierce University with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She also received her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Chapman University in 2016. Erika has a passion for working with kids of all ages and diagnoses. During graduate school, she completed a 10-week clinical internship at Primary Children’s Hospital outpatient rehab in Riverton, Utah. During this internship, she treated a number of children with a wide range of disabilities including developmental delay, toe walking, cerebral palsy, autism, spina bifida, traumatic brain injury, down syndrome, torticollis, muscular dystrophy, and other pediatric genetic and neurological conditions.  Along with this experience, Erika has been a certified ski instructor for 3 to 6 year olds for the past 5 years at Vail Resorts. Her 5-year goal is to become a board certified pediatric specialist.
